GDPR – protecting your information

As many of you will know, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes in to effect on the 25th May 2018 – we’re sure you’ve received tons of emails about it over the past few weeks. We’re hoping this blog will give you a bit more information on how it’s going to affect you and your Qmee account…

What is GDPR?

It would probably take us all day to explain exactly what GDPR is, so we’re going to leave that to the experts! Take a look at the official website for full information.

What does GDPR mean for you and your Qmee account?

Don’t worry, it doesn’t mean your Qmee account is going change. But it does mean we’ve had to make some changes.

Firstly, we’ve updated our Privacy Policy to strengthen your privacy rights and reflect the new General Data Protection Regulation. We’ve made sure it’s written in clear, straightforward language so it’s easy to read and understand. Our policy now gives you more detail on what information we collect from you, and how we store, manage and use your data, so that you can be comfortable that it’s safe.

Secondly, we’ve added some new tools to your Survey Profile page for you to be able to manage your demographic profile data which we use to match you to relevant surveys. You’ll now be able to see, edit and request to delete the demographic information we hold about you.
